5/13/2023 0 Comments Pro tools vs ableton![]() They have loads of problems, they're expensive, ugly, and don't sound brilliant. ![]() You can see that even they know this, evidenced by their recent move to supporting any Audio I/O. Protools doesn't have the monopoly on top quality recording anymore. Loads of indies, amateurs, rookies, even kids are producing wicked sounding stuff with Live, FL, even reaper and audacity (free). It used to have the stake of being THE DAW to use for professional sounding records. ![]() Ninjaedit: I think protools is being left behind very, very quickly. Protools, IMO would arguably win on the mastering/recording side, though I think that if you know your way around Live very well, you could produce very similar high quality results. Live is definitely better for producing EDM.
